Victim Support NI nominated for Charity of the Year

Victim Support NI, the leading organisation supporting victims of crime in Northern Ireland, has been nominated as a finalist for the Ulster Tatler’s Charity of the Year Award 2015.

Speaking ahead of the awards ceremony, which takes place on 11 September at City Hall, Belfast, Victim Support NI Chief Executive Geraldine Hanna said:

“We are humbled at Victim Support NI to have been nominated for this prestigious award alongside so many other worthy charities.

“Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers work tirelessly in communities and courts throughout Northern Ireland helping people to cope with both the personal and practical impact of crime.

“The often harrowing experiences of victims and witnesses can also be stressful and traumatic for our frontline workers who give so much of their time, expertise and compassion to those struggling to cope with crime.
