Victim Support NI appoints new CEO

After a rigorous recruitment campaign, Victim Support NI is delighted to announce the appointment of Janice Bunting as Chief Executive Officer of Victim Support NI.

Janice will take up post on 1st September 2022.

Janice has 30 years’ experience of working in the private, public, voluntary and community sectors, of which 17 are at senior management levels. Before joining Victim Support as Deputy CEO in 2017, Janice was Head of Business Development at East Belfast Mission and the CEO of the Mount Zion House Group of companies in Lurgan.

She is passionate about the rights of victims of witnesses and hopes to continue and build upon the work of previous CEO Geraldine Hanna to help place Northern Ireland at the forefront of victims’ rights.

In her time as Deputy CEO, Janice was instrumental in expanding dedicated services to children and young people within Victim Support NI including the groundbreaking Child Independent Sexual Violence service (CHISVA) and Phoenix Youth (formerly ART).  She is an accomplished public speaker, and has experience in lobbying government to make positive changes for victims, being involved in the Gillen review of sexual violence and the Hate Crime Review led by HHJ Marrinan.

We hope that you will all join us in wishing Janice every success in her new role.
