Victim Personal Statements
We assist victims and witnesses in completing Victim Personal Statements to enable courts to hear about the impact of a crime on their lives ahead of sentencing.
This gives victims the chance to have their views heard and we hope it will eventually make it more victim-centred, improve our criminal justice system and lead to better outcomes for victims of crime. A victim, bereaved family member or family representative also has the opportunity to make a personal statement.
