Phoenix Youth

Phoenix Youth is a service that offers Creative Art Therapy to Children and Young People who have experienced complex trauma. We operate in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust and provide therapeutic support for up to 1 year.
This service delivers Creative Arts Therapy to children and young people, aged 8-21 who live in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust area. We aim to provide therapeutic support completely tailored to individual needs, keeping our client at the centre of all that we do.
Phoenix Youth developed from the ART (Aggression Related Trauma) Project and uses Creative Arts to help support children and young people through the impact of traumatic experiences. We believe in a systemic approach and offer support to families/carers of children and young people, alongside the 1:1 sessions. Support is available through seminars, workshops and support groups.
Therapy is relaxed and informal, with a client led approach. Sessions are 1:1, with the same therapist each week to ensure trust and safety are established. Each child or young person will have space and freedom to explore whatever feels important to them week to week.
Children and young people can be referred to Phoenix Youth by parents/guardians/carers, health professionals, GPs, school staff, social work teams, CAMHS, or any other organisation involved in their care.
